Account Manager - Job# 06-LA1003
Compel is currently seeking a Account Manager to successfully develop, maintain, and expand sales opportunities through customer relationships. Performance is measured by volume of business sold, margin on sale, and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Identifies potential customers and solicits business utilizing marketing and financial information sources, databases, and business partner networking.
- Composes effective sales proposals. Prepares and delivers effective oral and written presentations regarding company provided services.
- Develops and maintains customer relationships with multi-level, multi-function decision makers, typically middle to senior management.
- Possesses effective interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and demonstrates time management proficiency and a professional demeanor.
- Provides customers with information and advice on industry matters and company provided services.
- Demonstrates knowledge in computer and voice premise wiring products and has an understanding of UPS and other electrical issues related to data center environments.
- Spends one week "on-call" in rotation with peers, as required. Accessible by pager or telephone to respond to customers on a twenty-four hour basis.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Five years of success in sales in the industry is required
- Two years of college or technical school a plus
- The following certifications are desirable: Amp; Berktek-Ortronics; Siemon-Commscope; Nordx-CDT
- Valid Driver's License
